Black Argyle Bass

"A wolf in sheep's clothing..." Pretty much sums up this one. Based on a Shen 80, the Argyle was little more than an odd-ball idea of mine that I just had to try. But rather than go all-prep, I layered the argyle pattern over a very old-school, very un-adorned satin black, reminiscent of old hot rods and customs. The look is all business with the element of classic style -- Like a hardcore greaser in his Sunday best. This bass went to Norton Custom's very first female bass client, Ginger Clark.
