Blue Flame

Based on an custom-built, Ebony-equipped Engelhardt, the Blue Flame was the first Flame-top executed by Norton Customs. The gamba shape contributes to a clean overall look, while the bright translucent blue really grabs your attention. Other details include "natural purfling," mild shading, string silks dyed black, and a natural-finished birds eye maple tailpiece from Mike Pecanic Music. Nickel hardware rounds out the cool, deep look. Set up for slap and pizzicato. The Blue Flame went to Netherlands client Frank Vandendungen.
