Jay Honsey's "PimpStriper"
Jay knew just what he wanted when he contacted Norton Customs: A custom, high-quality bass with violin corners and a near-black midnight blue gloss finish. Oh yeah -- and pinstripes. For those, Jay requested lighter blue and silver. As far as layout, however, all he said was "Feel free to go nuts with your own style."
The result is an attention-grabbing bass that bears the name of Jay's choosing: PimpStriper. Deep, cool midnight blue provides the base from which the Process Blue and Silver House of Kolor stripes pop. The bass also features an ebony Pecanic compensated tailpiece and blacked-out bridge and endpin for a dark, business-like appearance. The look of the bass is rounded out with chrome tuning machines and bridge adjusters. Set up predominantly for slap, the bass features low tension, tight clicks and a great overall tone and feel.
